Why do we not allow Photographs The intent of the photograph is to give the other person an basic idea of what you look like and intentionally nothing more. We believe allowing anything more defeats the intent. Instagram becomes about looking good, twitter becomes about signalling We see a few advantages, First of all we want you to visualize the person as you introduced to as you will see them later which will most likely be on the screen. We want photographs to be of how you look everyday and not how you looked some day on vacation, Not standing on the eiffel tower. It also puts the focus on the person and not the surrounding which is our intent.
